Bread Division Information Systems Manager

I’ve been here since 2001, moving from a small family business, as I wanted the opportunity to develop my career. I’ve never looked back, and am now IS manager working with people from across the group to make sure they have the right IT tools to do their jobs as effectively as possible. I work with everyone from the guys on the shop floor to the MD. No two days are ever the same. This makes for a very interesting work life.

I’ve seen many changes in the business in my time. I started as a Logistics Operative before becoming a loading bay supervisor. When the business decided to install SAP across the company, I joined the implementation team. This gave me a real taste for IT. In 2007, thanks to my knowledge of our business, I was asked to help pick our new ERT systems. In time I was encouraged to take on a IS manager’s role.

Over the years I’ve completed several professional qualifications. The company has always supported me, and showed great confidence in me to develop my overall business understanding and personal development. It’s a great place to work and the people really make it special.
